Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

-Prepares and distributes weekly College of Nursing Friday Newsletter during the academic year.

-Maintains Monthly Meeting Schedule for the college.

-Prepares and distributes Dean’s list certificates to pre-nursing and nursing students three times per year.

-Maintains faculty profile database.

-Maintains faculty handbook.

-Communicates with faculty and staff designated as timekeepers in the college regarding timesheet submission dates.

-Reviews proper time recording procedures with faculty and staff designated as timekeepers for each of the college’s timekeeping locations.

-Collects completed semi-monthly and monthly timesheets, and performs timely data entry into the time reporting system for all faculty and staff in the college.

-Communicates to payroll any changes, reported and/or identified, to the data entry of information entered into the time reporting system.

-Attends Department Liaison Meetings and relays relevant information to departments/units with the college.

-Coordinates and schedules meetings for the College of Nursing Faculty Council; prepares and distributes agenda, minutes, and related documents for the meetings.

-Maintains membership list for standing committees within the college as outlined in the College of Nursing bylaws.

-Coordinates and schedules meetings for the College of Nursing Bylaws Committee; prepares and distributes agenda and minutes for the committee.

-Prepares and maintains the College of Nursing Bylaws as approved by the faculty council.

-Assists the college’s Director of Fiscal Affairs with scheduling of appointments, college and review of college procard statements, and travel arrangements.

-Maintains accurate records of Dean’s Office expenses including, but not limited to, office supplies, dues and memberships, conference registrations, copier, telephone, and postage.

-Assigns keys to building occupants.

-Maintains a map of offices, conference rooms, and classrooms in Nicks Hall.

-Maintains a directory of faculty and staff in the college.

-Assists at the college’s convocation, held twice each year.

-Maintains bulletin boards. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates student workers employed in the Dean’s Office.

-Coordinates and schedules college staff meetings; prepares and distributes agenda and minutes.

-Assists Sigma Theta Tau International Epsilon Sigma Chapter-at-large during Induction Ceremony.

-Acts as secondary room reservationist. Serves as Building Coordinator.

-Performs other related duties as assigned.
