Job Summary

Responsible to the Registrar for maintaining the Curriculum Management System and the online Catalog System.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Banner student information system.

Knowledge of CURRICULOG software for curriculum management system.

Knowledge of ACALOG software for catalog maintenance system.

Knowledge of Degree Works and reporting tools.

Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.

Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.

Knowledge of and ability to use general office equipment.

Ability to understand and learn new software packages.

Ability to apply practical and logical reasoning.

Ability to communicate effectively and with tact.

Ability to calculate numbers using arithmetic.

Ability to understand curriculum requirements required for graduation.

Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.

Ability to work accurately.

Ability to research computer and paper records.

Ability to use data to investigate and correctly identify curriculum issues.

Associate degree or two years of college; one year of related experience.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Attends Graduate Curriculum Committee meetings.

Attends Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meetings.

Processes Graduate Curriculum changes (additions/deletions/maintenance) in the Graduate Catalog.

Processes Undergraduate Curriculum changes (additions/deletions/maintenance) in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Provides ongoing training to departments on how to use Acalog.

Provides ongoing training to departments on how to use CURRICULOG.

Produces final versions of the graduate and undergraduate catalogs in a timely manner.

Identifies curriculum issues that may adversely impact Degree Works.

Maintains current list of ACALOG reviewers, editors, ect.

Notifies Deans and Curriculum Committee Members of any discrepancy in the curriculum process.

Maintains current policies and procedures on the curriculum process.

Analyzes academic course work and verifies all requirements before updating the catalogs.

Assists with testing new updates and patches with CURRICULOG, ACALOG, and Degree Works.

Meets with the Degree Audit Specialist and Assistant Registrar for Data Management.

Works with departments across campus to maintain publication schedule for the catalog.

Develops documentation checkout sheet for catalog changes.

Documents course substitutions and recommends curriculum revisions when needed.
