Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

-Enter receipt data in the OPR (Order, Pay, Receipt) Record of Standing Order Titles in Paper, Microform, and Electronic Format.

-Modify the System-generated “Expired Action Request List” Report for non-receipt of titles.

-Initiate tracers to Vendors for non-receipt of items.

-Use Baker & Taylor’s Link Online to transmit book orders electronically.

-Maintain a log for all purchase orders numbers assigned to all orders sent from the Department.

-Print computer generated copies of order letters and forms which are linked to each purchase order.

-Generate and maintain Online Vendor Code File.

-Copies of invoices for Standing Order Titles and A/V Titles are prepared for payment.

-The date the invoice is received is stamped on the invoice.

-Invoices are checked for accuracy.

-Function and object code numbers are stamped on the invoice.

-If a purchase order number on an invoice is complete, it is designated FINAL.

-Fund Slips are totaled and compared to the invoice amount to insure accuracy.

-Procure supplies for the entire library, using the procurement system of the Purchasing Office of the University.

-File approved invoices, fund slips, and correspondence.

-Log in number of book request slips from each academic department.

-Prepare and record number of CHOICE book review cards sent to and received from each department.

-Prepare book plates for “Gift of Knowledge” books and maintain files on number of gift books received each year.

-Maintain statistical report of number of titles/volumes received by department for standing order each academic year.

-Other duties as assigned.

-Assist in preparation of the annual reports for the Supervisor of the department and the Director of Libraries.
