Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Ensures the efficient running of reference/information services at the first floor service counter.

Trains graduate assistants and staff in the use of library resources.

Conducts and organizes public services professional development.

Collects statistics, maintains files for LibAnalytics, LibChat, LibAnswers and other statistical software.

Writes reports for the section to be included in the library annual report and reports to outside agencies such as IPEDS and ACRL.

Provides reference assistance at the reference and circulation service counter.

Works as a member of the library liaison team; serves as an assistant in the library liaison program.

Makes appointments for liaison meetings with other departments.

Attends academic department meetings and training sessions with library liaisons.

Teaches library instruction sessions.

Processes acquisition requests which come through the liaison program.

Serves on library staff training committee.
