Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Chemistry safety rules. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to apply Chemical Hygiene and Safety in real time. Ability to apply critical thinking skills. Ability to prepare chemical reagents by following standard protocols with specificity. Ability to prepare chemical reagents safely and accurately.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree in Life Science required.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Preparing reagents for teaching labs. Modifying protocols as required.
Stocks teaching laboratories with appropriate supplies.
Maintains and repairs laboratory equipment. Processes incident reports.
Enforces safety rules in teaching laboratories.
Maintains a clean, safe, and professional environment in the teaching laboratories and the stockroom.
Maintains an inventory of the chemicals and small equipment.

Coordinates compressed gas exchanges for the department.
Transports chemicals from central storage, and retrieves and ships chemicals through central receiving.
