Typing and basic computer skills.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Types (using computer/ typewriter) correspondence: forms, letters, exams, manuscripts and other departmental correspondences and communications.
Schedules and keeps appointment schedules
Maintains departmental files for correspondence, reports, purchase orders, student files, recruitment of faculty (full-time/ adjunct) and other documents.
Answers phone, directs parties to appropriate persons.
Greets visitors, provides information and directs persons to appropriate persons.
Assists in monitoring department foundation and legislative internship budget accounts (record keeping and accounts).
Supervises student workers and schedules work assignments.
Assists in preparation of class schedules.
Responsible for textbook orders for faculty each semester.
Inputs semester schedules and changes on SIS.
Assists adjunct faculty with current University processes and procedures and follow ups.
Schedules travel, makes travel arrangements (when requested to do so), and assists in preparing travel requests and claims.
