Job Summary

Responsible to the Admissions Coordinator for serving as a Transcript Analyst in Admissions; following transfer and readmission students, including second-degree applicants and evaluating college transcripts to determine transfer credit; applying university standards to determine admissibility; reviewing correspondence; maintaining computer database of transfer equivalencies; preparing and maintaining transfer articulation handouts; answering related questions for students and university officials; evaluating freshman application credentials to determine qualifications and admissibility as well as data entry; communicating with students and parents; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of computers and various software packages. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform work accurately.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; two to five years’ experience in business or education preferred.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Evaluates high school credentials in order to make admission decisions.
Evaluates college credentials in order to determine admission for transfer students. Determines credit to be issued for courses taken at other institutions.
Answers questions from students, parents, school officials, advisor about admission requirements and transfers evaluations. Maintains database of transfer equivalencies.
Prepares transfer articulation handouts. Reviews correspondence.
Evaluate transcripts for second degree candidates.
