Job Summary

Responsible to the Admissions Coordinator for serving as a Transcript Analyst in Admissions; following transfer and readmission students, including second-degree applicants and evaluating college transcripts to determine transfer credit; applying university standards to determine admissibility; reviewing correspondence; maintaining computer database of transfer equivalencies; preparing and maintaining transfer articulation handouts; answering related questions for students and university officials; evaluating freshman application credentials to determine qualifications and admissibility as well as data entry; communicating with students and parents; and performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of computers and various software packages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to perform work accurately.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; two to five years’ experience in business or education preferred.

Description of Job Duty
  • Evaluate high school credentials in order to make admission decisions.
  • Evaluate college credentials in order to determine admission for transfer students.
  • Must determine credit to be issued for courses taken at other institutions.
  • Answer questions from students, parents, school officials, and advisors about admission requirements and transfer evaluations.
  • Maintain database of transfer equivalencies.
  • Prepare transfer articulation handouts.
  • Review correspondence.
  • Evaluate transcripts for second degree candidates.
