Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

-Submit computer report request to choose admitted students with deficiencies for each semester.

-Prepare letters through mail merge.

-Place holds and flags; this initial contact and the start of monitoring their records.

-Check registration of classes for courses needed to remove deficiencies.

-Check grades at the end of the term to determine if deficiencies can be removed.

-Maintain student files.

-Disseminate information to academic department’s concerning all phases of the class schedule.

-Assist and advise academic department personnel when keying the schedule of classes.

-Collect, edit, and supervise keying of the class notes.

-Maintain a system of instructions and procedures for producing proof copies and the camera ready copy of the class schedule.

-Collect, edit and maintain the information text for the front of the class schedule.

-Explanation and clarification of university policies and registration procedures.

-Verification of proper authority and clearing of registration obstacles.

-Line control and verification of registration eligibility.

-Supervise the student and temporary employees and maintain all registration documents.

-Operation of computer terminals at peak registration.

-Schedules rooms for classes and campus events.

-Assist with final preparation for graduation and supervise the arrangement and distribution of diplomas.

-Initiate and monitor temporary work budget, train, assign work schedules, supervise, and verify work time of temporary employees.

-Train, supervise, and maintain payroll records for student employees.

-Open and close all office cash registers daily, count and balance daily cash received.

-Note and document and money discrepancies and deposit funds with Bursar’s Office.

-Assist information dissemination, telephone answering, proofreading, special projects of the registrar and file maintenance
