High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty
  • Schedules classes on SIS for checklist for students, permits, cut cards, etc.
  • Provides student assistance in all areas, both in person and by phone.
  • Provides student assistance in all areas, both in person and by phone.
  • Performs administrative duties assigned by chair.
  • Processes travel budgets and all travel authorizations and claims.
  • Monitors student worker budget.
  • Updates class information posted on web continuously.
  • Troubleshoots general computer problems for faculty and staff.
  • Takes and transcribes minutes of meetings.
  • Generates Dean’s List certificates.
  • Processes mailings for organizations as requested by faculty and chair.
  • Oversees Secretary 1 in her duties.
  • Supervises student workers for department.
  • Hires student workers for department.
  • Maintains conference room scheduling.
  • Generates contracts for part-time and graduate students.
