Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to plan, organize, and schedule work. Ability to train and supervise employees and to evaluate performance. Ability to forcast needs, order services, supplies, and equipment. A working knowledge of Metasys and Sanyo energy management systems. Working knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, steam, chilled water, domestic water, and other mechanical systems. Computer skills to include internet, email, microsoft word and excel. Ability and certification to apply pesticides at residential buildings. Ability to prepare general specifications for maintenance and repair work. Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate blueprints and plans. Ability to communicate effectively. Successfully completed training as lead renovator, erosion and sediment control. As a supervisor, successfuly completed ETSU LEAD supervisory trianing. Completion of certified supervisory training or ETSU LEAD supervisor training course.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma; 5 years of experience.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Inspects and reports on the status of general maintenance work in progress and completed.

Provides pest control services in Housing Facilities.

Assures continued operation of division’s preventative maintenance program.

Responsible for repair of all items within residential facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electric, drywall, flooring, appliances, furniture, etc.

Orders supplies, materials, services, and equipment.

Makes timely repairs to and paints vacant units.

Plans, organizes, and schedules work for housing maintenance.

Works as an electricain, carpenter, or HVAC mechanic as required.

Trains subordinate personnel in efficent use of materials and supplies and proper use and control of equipment.

Provide freon recovery report to E,H & S monthly

Assures pool compliance at Buc Ridge.

Assures all landscaped areas at housing buildings are proerly maintained
