Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Maintains manual and computerized graduate student files; posts grades and GMAT grades on graduate students records; relays to supervisor to reevaluate and notify Graduate Office of any change of status on student record; accesses SIS system; screens class rolls to ensure that each student is properly qualified for each class.

With approval of graduate director, notifues student of improper registration.

Assists in planning for MBA Retreat, Open House and Orientation; notifies students of time and place for each function.

Assists graduate students with various problems including applying for the graduate programs in the College of Business and explaining the process.

Types graduate assistantship and tuition scholarship contracts for the College of Business.

Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, provides proper information and directs visitor to appropriate person.

Assists visitors for the Director of Graduate Business Studies.

Maintains appointment schedule and develops itineraries for Director and Assistant Director of the MBA Program.

Answers telephone, gives information to callers and routes other calls to appropriate places.

Supervises student worker and assists graduate assistants.

Serves as relief to Dean’s Office when secretaries are away.

Composes letters and memoranda.

Copies tests, schedules, and memos.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
