Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Receptionist for students and faculty; greets visitors, ascertain nature of business.

Using Windows, and Corel WordPerfect Suite, type correspondence, forms, course syllabi, examinations and course material.

Key operator for copier.

Compose routine letters and memoranda.

Attend training and informational sessions as necessary to keep with current changes.

Handle income and outgoing mail and distributes in a timely manner.

Using SIS system, key schedules, clear students, give student permits, obtain information regarding students address, grades, and obtain information for faculty for enrollments.

Secretary for the National Phi Alpha Honor Society which includes: ordering certificates, answering a large volume of questions regarding Phi Alpha, sending materials to chapters, complete disbursement vouchers, keep all Phi Alpha information up to date.

Order supplies.

Order exam copies of texts and desk copies for faculty.

Type contracts for adjunct faculty.

Type summer contract for faculty.

Supervise activities of student workers assigned to the department.

Type travel and department requisitions.

Administer tests when requested by faculty.

Update and maintain student files.

Assign new students and advisor and keep updated lists.

Input data into the TRS payroll system for sick leave, annual leave, and hours worked for student workers.

Responsible for Procard for department.
