Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience required; some music background required.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Coordinate all music events.

Sell tickets using Vendeni (cash, checks, and credit card purchases).

Complete paperwork and keep records of ticket sales.

Work with faculty members and students to schedule a variety of concerts and recitals.

Handling venue and room reservations.

Scheduling student workers to perform various support tasks like ushering, stage lighting, recording, setting up of sound shells, setting up stage, etc. for all music events.

Work with University Relations to get publicity approved and out to the media.

Handle various tasks in support of guest artists.

Format, proof read, get University Relations approval, and copy concert programs for faculty and student concerts.

Work with faculty members or other personnel in developing and mailing event brochures, posters, and flyers.

Develop an audience roster with help of Vendini.

Maintain ETSU Music events webpage to include musical events; post events on shared arts calendar.

Track event changes such as date, time, site; perform updates for inclement weather changes.

Manage even cancellations, both for ticket refunds and information distribution (web, door signs).

Handle online as well as cash and check ticket sales both in office and at venue.

Schedule piano technician to tune/regulate before and if needed during events.

Scheduling work orders associate with equipment moves to concert venue.

Maintain an archive of concert programs, videos, and recordings; allow student and faculty members access to archives.

Handle and archive paperwork associated with ticket sales and performing other related duties as assigned.

Assumes role of and archiving paperwork associated with ticket sales and performing other related duties as assigned.

Sets up rooms for events on occassion, especially during semester breaks when students are absent.

Assumes the role of house manager on occasion.

Complete work orders for equipment transport to and from concert venues.
