Job Summary

Work performed in a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry and performing related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Knowledge of methods, material, and procedures used in general repair and -maintenance work -Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions -Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment used in a variety of tasks as required -Ability to follow instructions -Ability to use, clean, repair and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery required in accomplishing tasks -Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions -Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees

Required Qualifications

Completion of the tenth grade; experience in building and plant maintenance involving a variety of work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and masonry

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty

Assists in the installation andmmaintenance of locks and related hardware.

Cuts keys.

Inspects and replaces broken or worn parts in locks and related equipment.

Labels and maintains key records

Maintains Campus Key Control.

Plan and install locks or locking systems.

Evaluate lock problems and make repairs.

Represent Key Control at meetings.

Understanding of lock functions and applications.

Track work orders on TMA work order system.

Order parts and supplies when required.

Develop computerized key records

Repair/ Install electronic locking devices.

Inspect new construction or renovations.

Cut keys by code number.

Work from blueprint drawings.
