Job Summary

Work performed in a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry and performing related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of methods, material, and procedures used in general repair and maintenance work
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment used in a variety of tasks as required
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to use, clean, repair and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery required in accomplishing tasks
  • Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees
Required Qualifications

Completion of the tenth grade; experience in building and plant maintenance involving a variety of work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and masonry

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty
  • Performs a variety of carpentry tasks in the construction and maintenance of buildings and other facilities
  • Performs a variety of plumbing tasks such as removing, replacing or repairing plumbing fixtures, water lines, etc.
  • Performs work of an unskilled, semi-skilled, or skilled nature when necessary such as painting, masonry, etc.
  • Performs other work as assigned
