Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to use a computer. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to communicate effectively with students and departmental contacts. Knowledge of data base systems. Knowledge of budget management. Ability to multitask. Ability to handle high volumes of paperwork. Ability to set and meet deadlines. Must be organized in though and function. Ability to analyze and rationalize situations to determine the appropriate solution. Ability to understand and correctly apply university policy and procedure. Ability to create training presentations and conduct training sessions. Ability to use PowerPoint efficiently. Ability to apply accounting skills to fund management.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma. Employee must be very detail oriented and have great organizational skills. Must be able to multitask and not be intimidated by large volumes of paperwork. Being able to use a computer is a must. Spreadsheet proficiency is a must.

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty
  • Add APS, FWS, and RSWP to student financial aid package
  • Collect, verify, and process student employment paperwork
  • Communicate with students, departmental contacts, and unit representatives concerning work issues
  • Monitor APS workers: finding service positions, completing service hours, and maintaining continuing eligibility.
  • Import and manually load and track student payroll earnings for each payroll.
  • Monitor federal FWS allocation funding and determine allocation limitations for the aid year.
  • Monitor and track departmental allocations and student earnings through out the aid year.
  • Establish and maintain student employment policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain work website and other automated processes.
  • Train and provide access to the departmental contacts to the work website.
  • Compile various reports and spreadsheets concerning FWS and APS usage to be used by the FWS APS committee.

  • Verify employment to the Department of Human Services for student employees.
  • Process student employment verification requests.
  • Process open record requests in accordance with state law.

  • Execute various Banner processes to perform job duties.
