Required Qualifications

Job Duties

These are the job duties required of the position.

Description of Job Duty
  • Maintains and operates specialized equipment such as cage washer, bottle washer and autoclave.
  • Maintains adequate supply of clean cages, racks, and drinking devices for animals.
  • Unloads and places in storage incoming supplies of food, bedding, equipment, and etc.
  • Prepares and uses sprays, washing and disinfecting solutions, including concentrated acids and caustic chemicals.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Attending Veterinarian.
  • Keeps cages and other equipment in repaired condition and reports malfunction of equipment and services.
  • Performs procedures related to the are of laboratory animals, including changing of cages.
