Job Summary

Applicants may apply to this posting if they are interested in being included in a pool of applicants who will accept a temporary custodian assignment. Applicants will be contacted directly by the Facilities Department when temporary help is needed.

Employees in this class are under close supervision. Essential Functions: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas of academic and administrative buildings, medical facilities or residence halls and apartments. Assist with maintaining assigned grounds areas; performs all assigned cleaning duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications

Successful completion of eighth grade.

Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures preferred; able to understand and use the materials and equipment used in custodial work; ability to follow simple instructions; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others, and able to perform light to heavy manual labor.
