Job Summary

Responsible to the Program Coordinator for coordinating all aspects of TECTA Orientations; collaborating with community colleges to coordinate services for students in the CDA Prep and Early Childhood degree programs; serving as a CDA mentor and advisor for students seeking the CDA credential; overseeing and entering all data into the TECTA web-based data system to ensure contract is properly executed; participating regularly in staff meeting as well as quarterly state management, advisory board meetings and early childhood partner meeting to maintain positive relationships in the early childhood field; collaborating with co-workers to ensure contract needs are being met as well as the needs of providers and students in the early childhood community; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of early childhood education and child development programs, including best practices and developmentally appropriate practices.

Knowledge of current child care rules and regulations.

Knowledge of approaches designed for adult learners.

Knowledge of computers.

Ability to lead/facilitate training.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related area. Must have at least 3 years experience working with children ages 0 – 8 and have a strong philosophy of developmentally appropriate practices, good interpersonal, organizational, written/verbal and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Early Childhood or related field and experience with adult learners and administration of childcare programs.

Salary $33,035 - $38,760
