Job Summary

Responsible to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and the Dean, College of Business and Technology for developing and coordinating a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan for the College of Business and Technology; conducting activities to raise private support; cultivating donor relationships with individuals, foundations, and the corporate and business sectors; and, performing other related duties as assigned. The position devotes approximately 75% of time to the CBAT, and 25% of time to University Advancement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of current fundraising developments, best practices, techniques, and trends.
Knowledge of accounting, financial, organization, and management principles as those apply to fundraising in a university environment.
Ability to inspire confidence and trust for donors to make gifts to support the university.
Ability to be a positive, professional and ethical ambassador among diverse constituencies for the CBAT and the university.
Ability to work collaboratively and manage communications and interactions across multiple university departments.
Ability to work effectively with donors’ professional financial advisors.
Ability to communicate effectively.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required; at least five years of experience in alumni, fundraising, development, or related experience in higher education or sales required.
