Job Summary

This position is contingent on funding. The Special Education Program within ETSU’s Clemmer College of Education, Department of Educational Foundations and Special Education seeks a full-time temporary (adjunct) Master Clinician in Special Education beginning January 2018 with opportunity to extend to future semesters.
Responsibilities for this position include serving as a liaison, developing, and maintaining positive collaborative relationships between ETSU and local school systems, schools and mentor teachers. The Master Clinician will supervise, evaluate, and mentor pre-service students within practicum and Residency experiences (student teaching), maintain students records, and collect and report data related to student performance assessment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications

Special Education teaching license, at least five years recent teaching experience or related instructional experience, and a master’s degree or higher in special education. Computer skills are required for maintaining email communications with students and student evaluation through a web-based interface. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with experience in mentoring students in practicum experiences and student teaching. Preference will also be given to candidates who demonstrate knowledge of diversity, skills in addressing needs of diverse groups and an appreciation for multiculturalism.

Salary 12,500.00 per semester
